Time to reflect!

Ok so I am finally making the time to sit down and dedicate a good half hour to my very outdated blog! Sorry to all who had been eagerly checking everyday for an update (ie. Father dearest) Ok so i shall begin where i left off and not go into too much detail as you are probably aware of what has been going on but nonetheless it is always nice to think about what has been going on and writing it all down…will be a nice think to look back on one day!

Ok so London…yes well london was fantatsic met up with Sally and Guy and the girls the first weekend which was really very nice, seeing as i hadn’t seen them in a good 10 or more years. I was given the royal treatment and guided around ye olde london town very well, every little detail pointed out and explained! Was an absolute treat and had an amazing time with them! Looking forward to another London visit when i will be able to do so! Most likely at christmas time! I did a bit of shopping but mostly sightseeing and food eating! Sal is a great cook. Then headed of to Justins which took me about 10 years to find. I was boiling hot with a massive hiking pack attached to my back but eventually found the apartment and was shocked by what a great location it was! Even has it’s own little private garden from all the people in Hyde Park Square…it also happened to be the weekend of a little garden party so we headed down there which was lovely!

Update numero 7-11

UPDATE: Hello Again and yes I know this is beyond unacceptable. 3 weeks without updating and I was already 3 weeks behind…oh how much fun I have ahead of me! Hours of tapping away and the keyboard! Oh well it is the perfect way to keep everyone updated, keep my writing skills in check, and a great souvenir to look back on. So ok basically this is update numero 7 through to 11 all in one big hit. Lets see how we go. Of it gets too long it may be in instalments!! (I will write as if I am writing at the time of the event – make it seem a bit less outdated) So lets start from where we left off, buying my scoot scoot and the many adventures we will have together. So basically not much has really happened this week, the kids are at school and the weather has been rather nice! Edouard’s parents are here for the weekend until Monday as we are hosting a little family BBQ for his siblings and their respective others! It was really quite lovely to catch up with them all and see their little families, as not all that long ago I was the baby of the family (the little attention seeker). Celine and I slaved away in the kitchen on Sunday getting ready for this gathering and what we made actually turned out very nicely – we did only do the entrees and salads but they were VERY tasty ( not that I was doubting my cooking abilities). Monday the children had the day off school as it was a public holiday , and Edouard was lucky enough to not have to work, however Celine did! So with Edouard’s parents visiting and the children at home, we made the most of the opportunity to do some spring-cleaning! Oh and did we clean, I scrubbed the pool house (the pool has it only little retractable greenhouse thing) that was literally green with gunk and slime, so I scrubbed for a whole day in-between doing the washing and cooking a roast chook, and that it still didn’t shine – so of course I volunteered to continue the scrubbing during the week when the children where at school, just to occupy myself. The end result however was brilliant – it shone and it was rather nice to swim under too, it didn’t smell and we could see out of it! And well basically the rest of this week has been pretty normal, nothing new just chilled and went running….something which I am doing a lot of at the moment. The week after that was also pretty average, I did have a nice week though, I spent it making a movie on Australia to present to an English class next week which should be rather interesting! I am really looking forward to it. Annie who is the English teacher and also my neighbour has requested it so of course I would say yes!! It was actually a really good weekend though, she introduced me to her son who just happens to be some pretty good eye candy!! Just my type and the perfect age…too bad I am not looking for anything! He just happens to live in Lille, and has his own place so a perfect contact if I feel like having a bit of a party weekend!! A perfect contact really. And tomorrow we have planned to go running together if the rain holds off! And uh oh the rain didn’t hold off – but it didn’t stop me from running, I LOVE RUNNING in the rain, there is something about it that just intrigues me to run every time it rains (I would be incredibly fit if I lived in an area that rained a lot). On Tuesday I went to the markets and spend more money which I probably shouldn’t have…but oh well I only live once! The markets I must admit are really great, not the best I have ever been to but the stalls are kinda cool and I did buy a cool new belly bar ☺ This weekend I went north again to do the sales with my cousins (and boy oh boy did I shop) maybe a little too much but when in France! It was a very fun weekend that is for sure, a tiring one at that but still fun! Getting to spend time with the family is really great and I cherish it! The week was pretty normal apart from going to the markets, oh and Hadrien came over to give me a hand with the Australia stuff (not that I needed it but I wasn’t going to deny the aid of one very good looking man!!) and the kids like him so it was good for them too, they had fun playing with him. And voila my week is pretty much summed up, I did run a few more times and go take photos etc but that is all rather uninteresting. Well that wasn’t very successful….here I was saying that I would update my blog on regular basis but indeed that did not happen and I don’t even have a good excuse (unless laziness is a good excuse) Well where were we? So the following week I went a did a presentation on Australia at the local high school with my next door neighbour, and that was a great success she was really happy with what I had prepared and the 2 classes to whom I did the presentation seemed to be intrigued and enjoy them so that was the main thing! There is really no point in summarising the weeks in the lead up to my little holiday in London as really they are rather mediocre and the same as usual (run, kids, cook, clean, housework – exciting) Ok so London!! The first time I had ever been to the UK! Was so much fun! I had an amazing time catching up with family, seeing friends, partying, eating and shopping! All in all it was a pretty amazing time

At the moment Africa, I am just dying to explore it culture and see it through my own eyes and experience my own adventures there, but ask me again in a week and no doubt my answer will be completely different

Update numero 6

Well aren’t I just so slack with updating my blog!! I apologise to those who had been waiting eagerly for that new installment which never came (yes Dad that is aimed at you).

So I find myself in front of the screen again thinking about how to describe my latest adventures, and seeing as I haven’t updated in about 3 weeks I wonder if it is worth putting all the adventures into one post or continuing by chapter. I figured I may as well continue with the old ways and update each chapter as a new post. So here we go!

Well I can definitely say this next adventure was a whole heap of fun. The purchase of my scoot scoot!! My peugeot Ludix Trend scooter that has had me jumping up and down about owning my first motor vehicle (if a scooter can really count as one). I really in all had a pretty great day that day, bought my new scooter, went out that night with the beloved, and saw FF5 which is a pretty cool movie.
